As I schedule out my day and the remainder of the week it dawned on me that the application of Christian principles is often towards ministry efforts. While the Great Commission is the Christian obligation, we must remember much of our witness comes from our lifestyles, how we invest our time and how we respond to situations (Matt. 5:16). That said, people are affected by what they witness in our lives, and this witness is what causes people to see our God. If that is the case, then it is just as important to apply the scriptures and Christian teachings…

Last night right before I went to bed, I knew that today was going to be different, a shift. Admittedly I have not been prioritizing my life’s responsibilities in the ways that I should. I’ve wasted a lot of time and could be making better choices towards my general health and wellness. I spend a lot of time contemplating why people in my life do not pour into me the way that I want them to – but the real question is why am I not pouring into myself? With so many passions inside of me, why do I not…

This weekend, I celebrated my birthday, and I am beyond thankful for the opportunity to walk into year 34, and I’m so excited for what it will bring. With many welcome challenges ahead, I also feel a peace and calming energy with me, propelling me as I move forward. I know this to be the spirit of God. I have areas in my life that deserve a little more attention, so I’m looking forward to a bit of lifestyle resetting that I believe will serve me well. It is, after all, fall, and the season is telling. Some of these…

(written in haste) I suspect this post will be ever evolving. I am sharing a list of productivity rules/tools that have worked for me throughout the years especially as I’m using this week to focus in on the precious pieces that make up my life. What a gift life is. I’m finding that by not being more intentional about my time and executing my obligations I’m missing out on life, happiness and progress. Number One: Plan out your day –Starting the day without a plan is the first mistake. With no plan there are no goals, and not achievements, and…

At a glance, there’s nothing particularly special about today. I mean, we’re opening a show at the theater, and tomorrow is my high school best friend’s birthday, though we haven’t spoken in years (I do hope she’s doing well). Still, today feels somewhat fresh—like a new notebook. Maybe that’s because it’s the first day I’ve started writing in this blog, which I’m so happy and excited about. There’s something about putting words on a dedicated page that just inspires me. In any case, this is one of those rare days when, even in the midst of imperfections, I feel a…

I created this blog a few months back to have a space to write. While ideally, I’d like to have the perfect content plan for this platform, admittedly, I don’t. Writing, like music, has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. So, to foster that gift, I must give myself an outlet—a place to trace my thoughts and pattern my dreams. “Write the vision and make it plain,” right? I am at a place in my life that I’d like to call newness, but it’s really not. It is, rather, a time of re-newness and…
