Establishing a Lifestyle in Christ

As I schedule out my day and the remainder of the week it dawned on me that the application of Christian principles is often towards ministry efforts. While the Great Commission is the Christian obligation, we must remember much of our witness comes from our lifestyles, how we invest our time and how we respond to situations (Matt. 5:16). That said, people are affected by what they witness in our lives, and this witness is what causes people to see our God.

If that is the case, then it is just as important to apply the scriptures and Christian teachings into our day-to-day lives. I don’t just mean answering questions like How would God like me to treat people? But also questions like How would God have me to organize my time? or How would God like me to monitor my finances?

While being clear that God does say, “do not be anxious for tomorrow,” the Word also tells us to, “Write the vision and make it plain.” I fear many of us may not being diligent about applying the Word of God into our personal daily lives. I believe God’s words contain the secrets to our success and happiness while we are here on this earth.

As I continue to meditate, I am becoming curious to investigate what God has to say about how we are to walk out these earthly lives, as earthen vessels during the temporary time that we have on this earth.

Thank you, God for fresh revelation. Amen.
